The services offered by Alior Bank’s online banking platform, call center and branches will not be available between 24th and 26th October
The operational merger of Meritum Bank and Alior Bank is scheduled to be finalized between 24 and 26 October 2015. This requires that Alior Bank’s IT systems must be turned off temporarily, and that access to its products and services will be restricted.
Online and mobile banking systems will go offline at 00:00 am on 24 October 2015. The customers will not be able to execute wire transfers, as well as perform online (“Pay with Alior Bank”) and BLIK payments. Nor will they be able to use other online banking services. The Online Currency Exchange (KantorWalutowy), the Brokerage House and T-Mobile Banking Services will be offline as well. The Bank will not process any online-filed applications related to product sales, payments and installment plans involving both online and traditional stores.
Alior Bank’s branches or partner locations that are open on weekends will be closed, or will only be available for information purposes. The Bank’s call center (19 502) will be only serving as an information center and will be accepting dispositions to block cards.
The customers will be able, for the duration of the period over which the Bank’s systems will remain unavailable, to perform card payments, including those made with the use of the Online Currency Exchange (Kantor Walutowy) cards denominated in foreign currency, meaning that cards can be used both for in-store payments and ATM withdrawals.
Access to Alior Bank’s systems is planned to be restored at 6:00 am on Monday, 26 October 2015. The Bank’s branches will be available for business during their regular working hours as well.
Meritum Bank customers will not be able to use the bank’s services between 3:00 pm on Friday, 23 October and 6:00 am on Monday, 26 October.
Once the operational merger of the banks has been completed, Meritum Bank customers will be able to use Alior Bank’s online and mobile banking systems, and will be served by the combined chain of branches and partner agencies. The Meritum Bank brand will no longer exist on the market as of the merger date.
The Bank informs the customers about the dates between which its services will be unavailable, as well as about the scope of the restrictions via its website, by e-mail, using automatic call center messages (IVR) and by banners visible on the online banking platform. Relevant messages will be also posted at Alior Bank branches.
